Recently, the nation witnessed one of the most thrilling seasons of the Indian Premier League 2018 for the year, it is ready for yet another in for the next year. IPL 2019 will also rock again. Indian Premier League 2019 will be the 12th edition of the tournament to be played from March 29 to May 19, 2019. The tournament is in light well before it is scheduled to start.
A total of 60 matches will be played in the tournament, spread over a period of 51 days. The IPL 2019 tournament will be played between 8 teams, they are the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings X1 Punjab, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderbad, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. With the new entrants Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions having taken a backseat last season itself, to give space to previously banned Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the IPL 2019 teams have been decided and declared. The IPL 2019 matches will be played both at home and away. But as the venue hasn’t been declared yet, there have been debates around the same with few predictions of conducting the IPL 2019 tournament in the UAE for the reason that the same may clash with the elections in 2019 and some say that IPL 2019 event will be hosted by South Africa. The IPL 2019 venue and the detailed schedule is not out yet and will only be available near the tournament.
To note here, IPL 2019 has moved way quickly to declare the the essentials of the event for the next year. The tournament is already heaping excitement in the minds of its fans as they are eagerly looking forward to it, more because of the preceded season. As per the dates announced, it is scheduled to start on the 29th day of March and the finale or the deciding match will be on the 19th day of May. The matches will be aired from 4pm to 8pm throughout the duration. The excitement does not end here, as the cricket World Cup is scheduled to take place post IPL 2019, from May 30 to July 14.
The IPL schedule was released keeping in mind the dates for the World Cup, to ensure that there is a gap of 15 days for the players to revive and rejuvenate themselves. India as team shall begin the World Cup campaign on June 5, against South Africa. The months from March to July seem like a big feast for the cricket fans all around the world. The excitement is not just restricted to cricket fans but also to occasional viewers because of the hits and surprises of two such extravagant events.
